WayCon offers a magnetostrictive position sensor specifically for pneumatic cylinders with the MOP. The MOP records the position of the position sensor without contact and works in a wear-free way so that regular maintenance work is not required and long-term stability is guaranteed. The spectrum of applications for the MOP is very diverse: From machine and plant engineering, to traffic engineering, mobile work machines and medical technology. As well as this, the MOP is perfect for level measurements and dose processes.

The magnetostrictive transducer is designed for a measuring range between 50 and 900 mm, allows a traverse speed of up to 10 m/s and recognizes the polarization of the internal magnet. It works without an external magnet by using a mostly standard integrated magnet within the cylinder piston. If an external magnet is required, the MAP, which has the same structure but has an external position sensor, is up to the task. The sensors are suitable for an operational temperature range between 0 and 50 °C, comply with the protection class IP65 and produce an analogue output signal. As well as this, the MOP will win you over with its high levels of accuracy, such as a linearity of < ± 0.2 %.

Installation and assembly of the MOP is effortless thanks to its compact structure. The MOP is simply placed on the pneumatic cylinder. Due to its robust construction, it is also highly reliable in even the toughest industrial conditions. It can withstand dirt, vibrations and impacts, among other things. With an optimal price-performance ratio, the MOP is the perfect alternative for cylinder stroke measurement.
