Digital linear scale DMO – reliable measurement in rough environment

DMO series digital scales by WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH are accurate, magnetic length measuring devices. The full enclosure with IP65 rating keeps out dust, chips and water for significantly greater reliability and durability compared to optical measuring systems. Typical applications are metal- and woodworking, for example.
The sensor head moves along the moulding with a measurement range of 150 mm to 2000 mm. Since the magnetic measurement system is contact-free it also means no wear. The DMO by WayCon has resolutions of 10 µm, 50 µm or 100 µm, and an accuracy of ±20 µm.
The electronics integrated in the sensor head converts the sinusoidal signal from the magnetic sensor head into an HTL or TTL signal. The different signals (A, /A, B, /B, Z, /Z) can then be read with any standard control unit and optionally displayed on a WayCon position display.
Digital linear scales are particularly suitable for controlled tooling machines such as milling machines, grinders or lathes. Other potential applications for the DMO are industrial robot systems or precision applications on X-Y position tables. A guide bar with rod end bearings are included for easy mounting.
