With the further development of the LVC and the introduction of the new LVC2 electronics for LVDT, WayCon presents a solution which significantly improves on the previous model.
Inductive probes, also known as LVDTs, are high-precision sensors that are used in many areas of industry and research. In addition to their high linearity and resolution, LVDTs are characterised by the relocation of the electronics from the probe to an external module, such as the LVC2. This allows the sensors to be used even under extreme conditions. For example, LVDTs are used in the high temperature range up to 200 °C.
The LVC2 measuring amplifier is WayCon’s latest innovation in the field of LVDT electronics. One of the primary advantages of the LVC2 is its extended power range, which now enables even more precise configuration and higher measuring ranges for LVDT measurements. In addition, the protection class has been increased from IP40 to IP67, which ensures that the LVC2 series measuring amplifiers can be used in more demanding environments and under tougher conditions.
For quicker and safer installation, the LVC2 is equipped with four additional mounting feet, which enable stable and flexible installation. Alternatively, the electronics can be fastened from the inside to save space. Another significant advance is the tenfold increase in insulation resistance, which considerably increases reliability thanks to minimisation of leakage currents, thus extending the service life of the electronics. Furthermore, electrical safety and signal quality are significantly improved. The LVC2 also impresses with an extremely low noise level of less than 2 mVRMS, which guarantees ultra-precise signal processing.
With these improvements, the LVC2 is an ideal choice for users who require high precision and reliability.
